Thank you for looking. Please note that the price will remain as is for the time being. ◆Material◆ Cotton ◆Size◆ ?Length: 245cm (excluding tassels) / Width: approx. 104cm (※Please note that there may be slight errors in size due to the condition of the item.) ◆Product Description◆ This ikat features Dutch colonial influences, as Indonesia was a colony of the Netherlands. Therefore, alongside depictions of snakes and ancestral figures from indigenous Indonesian beliefs, you will find motifs such as the Dutch national animal, the lion, as well as birds and giraffe-like birds. This ikat is a blend of Javanese animism and European culture. This item is dyed entirely with natural dyes. It is said that only auspicious animal hides are used for dyeing and weaving due to religious customs. A considerable amount of time and effort is invested in weaving a single ikat. This is a very rare and valuable item. It is estimated to be 70-80 years old. This is a vertical ikat. Two pieces have been carefully sewn together vertically. ◆Condition◆ There are no noticeable damages or stains, and the condition is good. We look forward to bids from those who understand and appreciate pre-owned items. Click here for the manufacturer's site
